3CX solution: How to Enable Callback on Unsuccessful Blind Transfer
MITEL solution: click
UCM solution:
To make an incoming call return to the original caller on a busy or timeout on a Grandstream UCM6301, you can use the Call Completion feature, which requires both the caller and the called party to have Call Completion enabled and Call Waiting disabled on their extensions and phones. The caller will hear a specific prompt after the initial call fails and must then dial a feature code (default is *11) to request the callback when the called party becomes available. Detailed steps to enable callback on busy or timeout
- Enable Call Completion: In the UCM6301’s web interface, go to Extensions > Features and enable Call Completion (CC) for the relevant extensions.
- Disable Call Waiting: For those same extensions, ensure Call Waiting is disabled in the extension features and also on the physical IP phones themselves.
- Make the initial call: The caller dials the destination extension.
- Wait for the failed call: If the destination is busy or the call times out, the caller will hear a busy tone and a specific prompt indicating the call did not go through.
- Wait for the prompt to finish: The caller must wait for the busy tone and prompt to finish completely before dialing the feature code.
- Request the callback: The caller dials the Call Completion request code (default is
*11) and should hear a confirmation message. - Automatic callback: When the destination extension becomes available, the UCM will automatically call the original caller to complete the connection.
my solution for this is on the phone extension.

6400 is the ring group of 201 + 202 + 210
12 seconds, which is approximately 3 rings.
